Im having a real bad day and feel like I am being ripped off -which makes me MAD

BMW just failed its MOT, they say it needs two new ball joints - £650 - so I go off and look on the tinternet and find that they cost less than £200 so I am being charged £450 in labour for at the most two hours work. Luckily I told them not to do the work and I would collect later! Do any of you know anything about this sort of thing?

You can pick up ball joints for under a ton easy seffie.

3 hours lab should cost no more than £90.

Let me guess! You took it to a dealer?

Try a BMW specialist or better yet source the parts yourself and get Joe soap's garage to fit them as ball joints are no biggy to replace!
Nothing requires specialist fitters on cars anymore. Unless you drive a Lambo!

i will be in the cafe waiting, i am not by any means a 'modern' man i think that the fathers duty is to stand around and be menacing to stop any ideas of rape, theft or pillaging. i will let the experts (partners mother + med team) do what they know and i will do what i know
