Chinese Algae Eaters

I would say either SAE's or Bristlenose plecs would be fine, or even a spotted bulldog pleco (Chaetostoma milesi)

which ever you choose they are all great algae eaters that stay a nice size,

I see SAE's all the time at my LFS labeled as flying foxes. Never had one myself though; just FYI. I have a bristlenose for now a year and a half. When he was young, he was very curious and sweet. I love their whiskers! He's a gumpy man now and hides in his cave all the time and only occassionally ventures out during the day for food. Doesn't bother anyone though.

both are horrible fish and will harass any larger fish in the tank, dont bother.
Broad statement.

I'm even more confused now, you've listed four names but only three pictures, and which name goes to which picture?

If its got 2 distinctive light bands or the black band doesnt go right to the dorsal fin tip its not a proper one. I have a proper one and a false one. The proper ones also have darker lines on the top grey side u can see this in the pics above. From reading about them after i got them, there are actually 3 kinds. Proper, False and i another 1. According to what i read all but the true SAE tend to become more agressive with age. If my false one does i'm putting him in the crayfish tank.

I *think* I have now got two CAE's, one golden and one marbled - but they've never been an issue in my tanks. They've grown quite big now, and still not seen any agressiveness.

note to self - put pics up for ID
