thanks malawia man i was speakeing to you earleryas Essex chilliads but i was on my i phone and i couldnt log in to that acc so i had to create a new one thank you for your knowladge much apreciatedYep looks like you have Mbuna (lake malawi cichlids)
no i dont think he does i will try and take a few better photos these are a lil older and how woukd i tell wheather there femals or males ??Yeah not 100% sure on exactly what species of Malawi mbuna they are. Does the guy who you got them off know what they are.
23 gallon tank jewel i will up load some better photos and i have 20 chilids in thereVenting is the best way to tell the sex of cichlid's as its guaranteed to tell the sex of your fish but the easiest way is to go by is the males have egg spots and pointy anal and dorsal fins as well as long pelvic fins. This isnt 100% legit proof though as same females can have eggspots and can obtain a slight coloration that males have. You have a mix of males and females amongst that group of fish in your photo's. Some of the females look a little like pseudotropheus long pelvic galleria but im honestly not sure, looks like you have OB morph metriaclima species to but again im not a 100% sure. What size tank they in mate??
