Chicken Egg In Tank ...

do you think it would be safe to put a chicken egg in the tank with fish as it would be a very unusual orndament

Are we talking a complete chicken egg or a blown egg?

I'd avoid a complete egg but if it's just the shell you might get away with it. The only problem I can foresee is, you might see a small increase in pH, due to the shell being composed of calcite.

i think a full egg would eventually turn to a rotten egg and just a shell casing would eventually be broken down in to nothing ..plus if the fish ate it maybe it might hurt them

Why would you want a chickens egg in there? Seems odd but why not go for a large round stone of some sort instead?

You can get stone eggs which kinda look like chicken eggs *shrug* just an idea.
