Cherry Shrimp Not Multiplying

It takes about 3-4 weeks to hatch depending on temperature.

Cool, cheers for that :good:

How many should I expect from her?

Roughly 25-30. And they can become berried again very shortly afterwards. That's why people say they breed like rabbits

Wow, I wasn't expecting that much :hyper:

Roughly how quickly do these little dudes grow? (to a cm or so)

And is there a reason that the pregnant shrimp is one of the smallest? And the other,
larger females arent? (or will they soon be?)

Thanks again, :good:

I never really took much notice on how fast they grew when I had mine. At a guess, it probably takes about 6-8 weeks for them to get to 1 cm or so. Obviously it depends on how well they are fed and the temperature.

Not quite sure what the answer is to your second question. It's probably just a younger pregnant shrimp

lol cheers

I'm just wondering why the older ones (I got two batches, about 10 days apart) aren't pregnant yet?

Anyways, thanks again :good:

Maybe the males you have just like 'em young :p

Next time I find a female with eggs in my tank I really want to put her in a breeding trap so I can actually see the small shrimp hatch and grow.

Oh yeah!

In the first batch I bought I had one pregnant female, but I gave her up for dead after not seeing her for
two weeks, well....

I have just noticed two small, clear shrimplets (is that the word?) :D

Just thought i'd share :hyper:
