Cherry Shrimp Breeding

I know my recently aquired Cherries are breeding as I can see the females in all stages.
When the babies start to move the mother appears to take up station and I guess expel the young over a period of time, a bit like live bearers?
Thing is I haven't actually seen this stage although I have seen small shrimps, around 1cm - though not many. Tank also had a female gravid Swordtail, removed 1 week ago, now has 1 week old swordtail fry.
