Hi guys, I moved my 5 Cherry barbs into a bigger more suitable tank a couple weeks ago and they seemed much happier. A couple of days ago I noticed one of them swimming at a bit of a vertical angle. After reading up on swim bladder, I ordered some treatment from Amazon. Today I came home from work to see all of them swimming at very funny angles, some of them almost competed sideways. Does this imply it is not swim bladder as I thought that wasn’t contagious? Any help would be appreciated. (Screenshots from video below)

Post a video of them swimming funny. Upload it to YouTube, then copy & paste the link here.

There is no cure for swim bladder problems so cancel the order from Amazon.

Fish with swim bladder problems will either float to the surface when they stop swimming, or sink to the bottom when they stop swimming.

A lot of fish that float actually have air trapped in their intestine and when they fart it out, they can swim normally again. This is common in fish that get a lot of dry food from the surface. They ingest air while taking in food, and the air goes through their intestine and causes them to float.

If fish sink to the bottom when they stop swimming, they have a sim bladder problem and there is no cure of rit. Fish that sink when they stop swimming, should be euthanised.

I remember asking where the brightest light comes from?
The fish may simply be orientating themselves to that.
