Cheesiest Tank ornament

at my lfs they have a huge shipwreck ornament, its about 2.5 feet x 1 foot high x 1 foot wide.

i think it would look quite good actually

they do have some like plastic sawmill that looks really horrible tho  its still got the flash molding lines on it

Submersible footballers????? Can I really have Beckham in my tank??????

Cluttery.......sheep would be a good addition among the rusted coke cans etc....lol

I hate the little plastic sharks with sunglasses that are fishing right beside a sign that says "no fishing". It's a desperate and pathetic attempt at trying to put humour into something that shouldn't be made comical in the first place...

:*) I'm guilty of owning a "castle ruin" I bought it many years ago when I first started to keep fish and at the time, thought it really nice (oh, the shame of it  ) It's in my cichlid tank and try as I might to remove it, I can't. My featherfin syno lives in it and won't give it up for anything. I even tried taking it out off the tank and waiting for the fish to "plop" out, but he didn't. He was out of the water for 10 mins and I got scared that he'd die so I put the damn thing back. He's still very much alive and very much at home in the damn castle. :( Has anyone any suggestions how to get the featherfin out? Pleeeeese - I really want to get rid of that cheesy castle.
Hi Gadazobe, Can you not just swap the ornament for a bit of bogwood for him to hide in? :dunno:

I think the issue is removing the fish from the castle - If he could get it out, he would take out the castle.

ok...lol....I had that prob when I was changing my tanks around....my humbug dora wedged himself in an ugly ornament......took me hours to get him out. Tried the lack of air thing, but felt too guilty(there were other fish inside behind the stubborn little minx fish)....Took patience(which I lack) and perseverance(which I am good at)....
Finally got him out and put him in his new tank with lots of more exciting things to hide in.
(excuse the incesant babble.....am tired)

I have a cheesy pirate skull that I bought for a kulhi loach when I was a newbie.

It hasn't been used in years, but I still have it.

Oh yeah and the corny little plastic things in the shapes of other fish or sharks and stuff that are attached by and invisible string to a flotation ball. They just hang in your tank and look like mini sharks swimming around. they look kinda cool from a distance, but close up it's really tacky.

i want to get a little acropolis and a little coloseum for my tank, they seell them at pet smart but they dont ship to australia.

How about those plastic sharks, dolphins or scuba divers that are in two halves. One goes in the tank and the other half goes outside the tank to make it look the thing is swimming through the glass!

Purest kitch!

My son's tank (he's three) has a shipwreck with sharks in it. It's pretty bad, but he absolutely loves it and so do his two frogs so oh well

i had a chevy hood ornament that someone had ripped off a car and thrown in my fishtank when i wasn't looking

coupled with the, at the time, two or three really awful looking fake plants, it looked like a mini-version of the local river

had to remove the hood ornament when it started to rust though

Cheese-ola right here. :D I haven't used this in years, but for some reason I can't throw it away.
