Today I get to start on my new tanks... 2300 gallons of glorious marine and fresh water! The local community college has a public aquarium and I signed up for a class which is basically taking care of the tanks. It's at Orange Coast College here in California.

This semester we get to rebuild their coral reef system. There is also an empty ~80 gallon freshwater tank itching for some attention. I'm thinking as we start projects I'll take photos of the process and make a neat little site.
And the filtration system! Skimmers, UV sterilization, chillers.... oh my!
Very excited. Apparently quite a few local schools have these tanks and most people don't know about them. If any of you are interested, you might want to check out yours. It's a great (and VERY cheap) chance to take your hobby to a little bit higher level and work with equipment and fish you never would, or couldn't afford.
