Try Craigs list and aquabid. Both often give you good deals on equipment. Failing that have a look at your local clubs. Clubs hold auctions as fund raisers and a great deal can often be had there on equipment. The only hard part is waiting for the next auction. Auctions are seldom held more than twice a year.
