firstly apologies for posting this. I'm sure its been asked many times before but an incident with the laptop has meant i'm currently using my mobile for net access whilst it is repaired. As such, searching the forums is not quick or easy.

Anyway, the post. I'm wanting to build a slate wall along the back of my 4' tank, and was wondering where a cheap supply could be recommended in the uk, pref in or near dundee. Eg would slate from a builders merchant be suitable? Also any tips on what i should look out for?

slate roof tiles would do

Is what i was thinking, but does b&q sell roofing slate?

Something else that has just caught up with me, what about having to glue it together? It would be preferable as the girl upstairs can be a bit of an elephant and cause some shocks sometimes. Should some carefully placed blobs of aquarium silicon do the job to build large sections which when fitted together will provide further lateral support?

Sorry for the idiot questions, i.ve read stuff like this so often, just not something you want to make a mistake with.
