chasing Danios

can you take them to a lfs?, or you could use a free ad service to find them a new home.
Your only other alternative is to get a larger tank and more danios, but I understand this is not always a pratical option.

Okay, sorry about the millions of questions, but I'm fairly new to this and don't want to do anything that is going to get my fish hurt or killed. No one answered the question I asked before about platys. Could I get just ONE platy and he'd be ok in my tank? They aren't schooling fish, right? Because it is either that or a single dwarf gourami, but I have heard they can be really shy. Which would be the better choice to keep with 4-5 zebra danios and 2-3 cories in a 10 gallon?

I have two zebra danios and it seems like on of them is a bully. One of them is always chasing the other one around. It is always the same one (Fishie II) who is doing the chasing. And the one being chased (Danny) will put up with it for a few seconds, then retreat down to the bottom of the tank where he can "hide" from Fishie II. Danny will stay down there awhile, but as soon as he ventures back towards the top of the tank, Fishie II immediately chases him back down again. Is this normal behavior for danios?

And would the behavior change if I added one or two more danios so they could "school"? I don't really want to, since I have such a small tank (10 gal), and I'd like to leave plenty of room for a few other types of fish. But I will add another zebra danio or two if it keeps Fishie II from chasing Danny so aggressively. Any advice?

Mine chase each other also but they never hurt each other so im not too concerned.

I'm no expert on platies or gouramis but here goes

Platies, although not stricly a schooling fish, are certanly gregariours. That is to say they like the company of their own kind. Gouramis are the better choice, but IMO would not make a good tank mate for danios. (i maybe wrong )

I feel that 5 danios and 3 corys would be your stock limit for a 10 gallon tank.
