THAT was very cool! :shout:

 thank you

what in blazes r u guna do with all thease fish ... if you ave to many i can sympathise for the cost of a breeding pair ....hehehe( it might work)

to see the size difference between the "old spawn" and "new spawn" which happened DAYS apart, you get a great idea of how fast these little monsters are actually growing!!!! i am in LOVE with this thread!!!! thanks so much for being so detailed and posting new pics all the time!
CHEERS!!!

Nelly, you are amazing!
Congratulations!
This is so exciting, and what gorgeous fish!
It's so nice to think all this wonderful stuff was going on - while I didn't dare even come on the forum for fear of seeing 'sick/dead fish help me' posts and going into a complete decline. (Not kidding.)
Makes everything seem so different.
I'm so happy for you, and Mr. and Mrs. and all the little Snakeheads.
Wow!!!
This is piscine history immortalized right here on TFF - unbelievable!

Also, on a side note, now everybody knows why I'm so impressed with the Walstad system, after seeing what your heavily planted tank did for the health and breeding potential of your fish.
Anybody still wondering why I babble about it so much?

Holy crow - somebody just informed me that it wasn't just some of the floating plants that were plastic, but all of the plants except the duckweed - and you still had good perameters after what, nearly 2 months of no waterchanges?
I wouldn't have believed it - duckweed is obviously a miracle plant.
Why does it have to be such a pain to deal with?

yep all plants in the tank are plastic......
All the floating duckweed also i have salvinia minima which is spreading like wildfire guess its because its sucking up everything aswell as duckweed,,,Getting frogbit from pinnoodle at weekend :good:

Yes i seriously have not touched the tank in any way shape or form.....Not cleaned the filter/gravel/or changed a drop of water.....
Ive been in constant contact with a great handful of channa breeder's here in the u.k and also germany,And canada :good:
They tell me channa do not like waterchange's and often as a result could and do die if preformed to often, some channa are also kept in tanks with no filteration what so ever, but you will have to read up on these guy's alot<as i have been doing!!! As alot grow to 2.5-3feet in length

Congratulations Nelly! You must be beyond proud

Thank you for sharing these beautiful fish with all of us. who would have ever thought that fish that can be so aggressive would have such a peaceful time breeding.

The babies are beautiful i'm so jealous i can't sit there all day and watch them in amazement.
Congratulations again

Thank's mate :good:
Yes iam chuffed :shout:
Now the fry are exsporing the tank so much, you think darn they seem to be going missing, turn lights out for 5mins,,,,,and they will all congragrate in one corner :good:
