u will have to try and move the extras on or they will ended up getin killed. er am not to sure what size they will pair up at but some ppl say they can see pairs formin at a young age. i thought mine were up it was 2 females been friendly. as one lad said befor it took 18 months for his to pair up so its abit of a waiting game. thanks jason

ok, sweet. would 4 of them be ok, cuz theyre $25 each, and im buying the tank for $100, and i have to pay for other things too...

plants and lots of lol. thats sound ok ita about 17-18 uk pounds. i would go for 6 thats what i was goin to get but he only had 4 in so just took them he was goin to get more in but ma m8 has not been able to get hold of any more thanks jason

the tank im getting comes with filter, sand, plants, lights, everything but a lid, which i can make. and it has a fair amount of plants which i read they need, i just need some floating plants. i guess ill see how many the store gets in stock.

yer when u do the lid make sure its a good fit and i sounds daft but they will get out not they might they will. i think if i blocked mine up any more it would be air tight lol. or and they dont like to much surface movement its best to keep it like a mill pond from what i have read. thanks jason

yeah, ill probably put some boards on top then some books on top of that till i can make a proper lid lol

plants either real or plastics good enough, i have crammed a load of plastic plants in my ornatipinnis tank, floating plant is simple, just get even a pinch of duckweed and watch it multiply, obviously you will have to keep trimming it back once it takes hold as channa are air breathers and need to breach the suface easily :good: duckweed also helps like a filteration extra, they even use duckweed in sewage plants because its so good :look:

Yes i find when i direct the filter towards the floor my channa are much more active, the dont like waterchanges as much as other fish so cut down to once a month, channa are escape artists so even if you think a gaps too small, usually its not, i block every gap i find, even where the tubing goes for the filter cram it full of a cut tshirt in my tank,

yes id reccomend getting six, and as stated its a waiting game, dont get impaitent for fry,

hope this helps
