yes either sell or give to shop or someone, depending on what you get, orientalis i beleive you could manage to keep them as a group
plants either real or plastics good enough, i have crammed a load of plastic plants in my ornatipinnis tank, floating plant is simple, just get even a pinch of duckweed and watch it multiply, obviously you will have to keep trimming it back once it takes hold as channa are air breathers and need to breach the suface easily duckweed also helps like a filteration extra, they even use duckweed in sewage plants because its so good i have some duckweed in my main tank, and i hate it, but theres so much surface flow for it. and ill put some plastic plants in too.
Yes i find when i direct the filter towards the floor my channa are much more active, the filter in the tank im getting is a HOB so the water goes down, is it because they dont like much flow? the dont like waterchanges as much as other fish so cut down to once a month,WOOHOOO!!!! channa are escape artists so even if you think a gaps too small, usually its not, i block every gap i find, even where the tubing goes for the filter cram it full of a cut tshirt in my tank, ok, ill make sure theres no holes lol
yes id reccomend getting six, and as stated its a waiting game, dont get impaitent for fry, what do i watch for? like what do they do when they are pairing up?
hope this helps
