Changing My Filter

i have just swapped the filter over and in the old filter the was some black pellets theres nowhere for this in the new filter am i okay leaving them out

Yeah, that's just exhausted carbon.

yes..leave them out..they are carbon filings and they are only really to be used to take out medicines/chemicals from the water if your fish get sick
