like the title said, I'm going to change the bio-wheel with just regular bio-meida , do I just pop it in there or do I need to have the wheel transfer the bactiera to the media? and how?

PLZ!! I REALLY NEED THIS ANSWER SOON

btw, if ur wondering, I'm doing this because I read that the wheel will disturb the water while doing a C02 injection and I noticed I'm not getting any imporvment with my C02 also, the wheel is just to annoying when I slow the flow down (for my betta) it won't turn at all...I jsut don't like it.

Add the bio-media but leave the bio-wheel on the filter for a week or two to give the bio-media a chance to mature. Then it will be safe to remove the bio-wheel.

If you don't like the bio-wheel it might be worht investing a bit in a filter that is meant to work without one, like the Aquaclear - it will hold much more of that bio-media.
