What do You Think Does it Look Better, it is still a little cloudy but clearing fast :good: :good: :good:

It does look better. As said tho, maybe a bit more rock.

it looks heaps better, id agree with previous comments though in that a plain black or deep blue background would look heaps better and a load more rock work too...... whats your water stats out of interest eg ph ammonia nitrites and nitrate??

annonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates 20 to 40

ph 8.0

i am still working in the tank i will add more rock as i can

Looks good!

I agree with the previous comments, and would also like to add that you are going to need to get a bigger tank sometime down the road.

As that many cichlids should be in a bigger tank.

How is the aggression issue in your tank, do you fish seem to be getting along?

Also, the Melanochromis auratus you have in there will become pretty aggressive fish regardless and will soon require a larger tank.

So, something to think about is getting a larger tank sometime in the future.

Other than that, everything you have done looks really good!

How did you swap from one to the other? I might do it with my small tank if i have any sand left.

looks loads better, sand looks a little deep though i would be carful of gas build up. i only have around an inch thick in my malawi tanks

more rock work

i got 3 10 g buckets fill 2 with the tank water added the fish to one drained tank, took rocks out , washed and washed and washed some more the sand , added to the tank filled emptied filled again, to make sure it was clean , them added warm water , and added old tank water back then fish

Glad to hear that they are getting along, but over time as they grow, they are going to want a bigger home.

And I bet you will want a bigger tank as well!

It was really neat when I got my 55 gallon going for my cichlids!

But as long as they are getting along good now, that is a good sign.'

Getting a bigger tank in the future is just something to keep in mind!
