Neon Tetras/Cardinal Tetras
Kuhli Loaches
Maybe some shrimps
Oto or some other kinda suckerfish
Tiger barb/Five banded barb
Zebra Danio
Harlequin Rasbora
Swordtails

Why dont you have a puffer setup and make it brackish or a freshwater puffer.

im still thinking malawis.spoketo some people on cichlid frum and on here and theysay should be ok just watch aggression and give lots of hiding places.

You cant keep malawi in a 3ft tank. Only if you went with either a species only setup of salousi or demansoni.

Is that because people didnt tell you what you wanted to hear. I wasnt trying to start an argument just saying that you cant house mbuna in a 3ft tank.
