Chalky Ii & Iii

Any time I treat fish in my sick tank I always break it down and clean and sterilize everything with a bleach solution once the fish go back to the main tank. Then I will run the filter in one of my other tanks to build the bacteria back up and keep it going until I need it again. Then when I need it I just set the tank up... fill it with water from a healthy tank... add the cycled filter... good to go. (Just make sure you rinse everything really well to get all of the bleach out, and use chlorine remover in the final rinse water)
I wouldn't move the cory back with the others until the full treatment is finished. Then I usually give it a few days after that to watch for relapse... incase it wasn't all gone. It is like the doctor says... finish all the medicine even if you are feeling better... it will probably act better before it is all better.

Well. The last of the four bronze, who ha been perking up, took a turn for the worse a short time ago. We noticed he was upside-down at the side of the filter. I thought he'd got stuck. I moved him and he swam off, he wasn't stuck. He was then swimming upside-down, the right way up and then on his side. He would then fall to the bottom of the tank and lie upside-down, then swim round in tight circles. He didn't look to good and was swimming head long into the glass. I took the only step i thought appropriate to end his suffering. Its weird cus he had improved, not tremendously but improved none the less.

So out of the bronze, sterbai and pandas, the bronze have all gone and all the others are fine.

Dont think i'll get any more bronze for a while.

Thanks for all your help.

I'm so sorry to hear that but it seems you did everything you could possibly do. I had bronze's as a kid and they all lived quite a while. I wonder if you just got a bad batch.

You tried so hard, and did all you could for them. I am sorry you lost all of them.
I am sure when you are ready to try again they will do better for you. What happened with these is not what usually happens. They are usually very hardy fish. Those must have already been sick.
If you lived close enough I would offer you my bronze. I have 2 breeding females and several males that need to be rehomed.
