Chain Loach & polkadot loach question

Yes, Botia sidthimunki is also called a Chain Loach, or Pygmy Loach, or Pygmy Chain Loach! Like most Botias, they are classed as "semi-aggressive" but they are very small, and I've never had any trouble with them at all. They are probably my favourite Botia. They are usually quite expensive.

The angelicus sound very expensive, Monty at Trimar has them for £8 fo 4"/100mm.

Both should be kept with their own kind, a group of 3 or more is ideal.

Yep they are Chain/Dwarf Loaches, a very nice peaceful Botia and one of my favourites. However, IME they do not like large active companions like Clown Loaches, in such a case they tend to shy away. Three or more Chain Loaches make a wonderful tank addition as they dart around and play, great to watch.

Those Botia angelicas sound quite expensive to me, I got mine from Monty at trimar for 7.95 at about 3-4", they are also a nice Botia with a striking patterning and colour. These links may help you -

I'm probably gonna get 4 chain loaches and either keep them with some mellow rams or apistos and now I'm leaning towards the rams. :D

hu... at my pets store they are like 5$usd... although you can catch them here i think...?

Price is always relative to location. There is little point commenting if you do not have a specific location.

I'd be ordering them off of the internet but I work at the store where I'd be ordering them from so I'm pretty sure I get a 25% discount :kana: :p
