Ceratophyllum - Hornwort

Hi all

I was given some hornwort by a friend for my tank and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to look after it...does it need a substrate or can it just be floated? How fast does it grow? (Its with some fish and has some direct sunlight, as well as fluorescent lighting). What care requirements does it have? My tank is tropical, at 24C.

floating or plted either way is fine.
very fast growth.

it will grow in almost any tank!

Yep, another agreeal (if that's a word) .

Great plant, chuck it in almost any water and give it decent light, it will grow very fast!

Hornwort grow fast.

My hornworts do better when floating and it makes some shade for my fish.

No fert, no co2 just water and lights.

thanks everyone, seems too easy. If i trim the stems at any point will they eventually start growing? or should i only propagate it by trimming off the offshooting stems that already have a growing tip?
