Just wondering if anyone had a good center piece fish idea?

Has to be:
peaceful
not too big like 6 inches at the most; maybe 8
:thanks: in advance! :good:

Banded Gourami. 4-5 inches.

Beautiful fish. Really.

Apistogramma spp? Perhaps a little smaller than you want at about 4 inches, but really interesting fish, plus their breeding behaviour is fantastic. My avatar is of an adult male apistogramma cacatuoids.

Angels are a good choice, are mostly peaceful but you do get the occasional nutter. Discus? But these need special treatment.

The banded gourami looks great too, but is that just a different common name for a dwarf gourami?

As you an tell i'm really a fan of Cichlids.

I have 2 angelfish. Both of your suggestions are really nice. I like the Apistogramma, but I already know I'll have a really hard time trying to find a fish like that around here.

Around where? Put your location in your profile if you want.

Actually, its different. Bandeds are slightly bigger than dwarfs and are more hardy. I have a pair (a trio would be better) and they are wonderful fish - active, non-aggressive and pretty.
