Cave Man!

Personally I'd always go for a RTBS over a Rainbow shark.

I've kept one with clowns and mine has never bothered them, although they're all individuals.

Having said that I think it's better to rehome the clowns sooner rather than later anyway.

i was goin to say a krib but there not realy grumpy old men

Get a mating pair and that will change!

I'm surprised the clowns haven't made it home at night or when scared TBH. Incidentally I have two clowns that have grown from 2.5" to 5"+ odd in the last 12 months. They fatten out and grow in height rather than getting ridiculously longer though, they start off as streaky narrow little fish.

I would go with a catfish....

Have a search on synodontis cats. there are some smaller ones perfect for you size tank, such as synodontis petricola....

The only problem might be there water perameter requirements, although they should adapt... what hardness and ph is your water?

Don't know about other sharks but rtbs are perfect for that role. Mine is in with clown loaches as well never a problem but it absolutely has it in for my bronze Corys it'll even ignore the albinos & just chase the bronzes.
