Yeevie got banned? Wow, i didn't know that..I thought he just left and went to that other site like some of the others did after some things happened that they didn't agree with. How odd.

why yeevia, i liked him. i dont think he got banned, i dont think he ever did anything wrong.

yea im looking at his other auctions and they all seem legit, thatr purple guy is prolly a darker shade of copperish purple, but lighting has been used to brighten him up, all the auction pic appear to be the same way. none has left him bad feedback, if u want the fish real bad i suppose he would be ok to buy from, dont know why i heard bad stuff about him, but i swear iv seen that same pic somwhere before.

Um...I haven't bought one during the summer yet..this will be my first go with that, so I'll have to let you know next week when the trans-shipper gets in touch with me.

But during the winter it's $24.00 for next day...and see this time it will be priority instead. I'll keep you posted, check my I've been bad thread after the 28th.

uh..you can find solid purple fish all the time on AB. They can be expensive though.

You shouldn't suggest people not buy from a breeder unless you have had bad dealings with them yourself, or someone you know personally (not hersay from another forum). OR check their feedback and see if there are negative comments..and what they were.

I don't think you would appreciate that if it were you being talked about...because something your fish posessed didn't look like anything the person bad mouthing you hadn't seen before.


It's a pretty fish, but I agree I don't see any purple...if anything you might be getting some color off the overhead lighting..probably plant grow bulbs..they cast of a blue-ish/purple-ish tone.

It looks like a copper or platinum to me..since the scales are so pronounced. That's just how they look. I believe it has to do with them having a black underlayer with the mettalic layer over it.

I believe that is a copper, might not be...he (or anyone else that knows) can correct if I am wrong.
But notice how the scales are defined prominately.

Just an update on this fish as i purchased it.....got it two days after, as had own shipment coming from thailand......well he is a sort of purple in certain light but he is a copper metallic and and his scales do appear like that in all light he is a very nice bettas but not that purple pink on the picture but he has his eye on a copper gold female two doors down so who know what fry their may be........

he is a stunner of a fish worth just the $18.00,
