Hey there,

I am into catching my own fish in steams and stuff (who knows why, but its fun)

Today i was looking around and i saw allot of tadpoles in the stream, But i came across this school of small fish that have confused me, they look different from a tadpole but they also look like tadpoles? Im in South Africa.

I have attached a photo,

The darker one is a tadpole and the lighter one with spots is the one which i want to know what it is? It looks like a baby Barbel (catfish) shape of fish. Can any one help me ID this?

Thanks

I really dont have a clue, You would be better of asking on planetcatfish your more likely to get an answer there.

Catfish species live in inland or coastal waters of every continent except Antarctica.Catfish have inhabited all continents at one time or another.Juvenile catfish, like most fish, have relatively large heads, eyes and posterior median fins in comparison to larger, more mature individuals.
