Catfish questish: bronchis splendens

I have three emerald catfish (bronchis splendens) alone in a tank with a net breeder full of platy fry. Is it safe to release the fry into the tank or will the cats eat them? Thanks.

I have 3 Brochis Splendens and platies, Ive never had the emeralds eat any fry. The adult platies are a different story.

Brochis are very similar to corydoras in their habits, so unless your fry are laying down on the bottom of the tank, they will be fine.

The brochis will not chase after them or hunt for them, but if they are where they usually find their food, they might not know the difference. Of course, once they have grown larger than "bite sized" that will not be a problem anymore.
