I have narrowed down my selection to 3 different species of catfish, and want to know which would be most suitable / reccomended for my tank (60" x 18" x 24" discus setup);

L201 - Hypancistrus Inspector
L183 - ANCISTRUS DOLICHOPTERUS
L081 - Baryancistrus sp.

Or ant species that stays 7" or under suitable for discus and attractive that come reccomended?

If you want an algae eater L183 is undoubtedly the best, followed by L201 with L081 trailing far behind.

I, personally. prefer H inspector even though they are nocturnal as they do show themselves on occasion. I owned a 4" L081 for about a year in a five foot planted tank & saw him twice - the second time was when I caught him to move the tank.

If you look around you can sometimes find L236 - these come in, misidentified, alongside L066 but are brighter & more active IME and they do eat some algae.

One thing to consider - I've heard that discus do badly with nocturnal fish in the tank as they disturb them. I keep discus and they are a bit finicky, so i could welll beleive this even though personally I've never tried nocturnal fish with them.

iv also been told not to keep nocturnal fish with discus. i think corrys are a good tankmate
