Hi all. Over the past week my four corys have lost colour although i'm not sure if they are said fish . or c.trilineatus which ever they are the pattern has faded quite bad on them. PH 7.2 GENERAL HARDNES 8 KH 6 CL2 O NO2 2/3 NO3 50 AMMONIA LESS THAN 0.6 TEMP 78 F TANK HOLDS 220 LTRS SAND SUBSTRATE.

No growths or fungus fins look well active and eating and barbels are in tact. I have read that more corys would be a good idea. As they can become stressed if not in a big enough group. All other fish are well and no lack of colour and feeding well and active.

Any ideas?

I do two water changes aweek 35ltres each time. Maybe this need uping? external filter and pump for extra air.

Well looking at your water stats the ammonia 0.6 isn't good but the N02 (nitrite) is bad at 2/3,it needs to be at zero,i would do a 50-75% water change to try and lower those nitrites.
Your corys may be affected by nitrite poisoning.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable may be able to help you more.
