Catfish/ Cory Help

Hi all, need some advice.

When is the best time to feed catfish. I feel they are not getting enough food. I feed the fish in the afternoon with flake and pleco tabs but the other fish just eat everything . Would it be better to feed the catfish a couple of hours after the lights go out as they seem more active after dark when the other fish are sort of asleep.

Any ideas out there??

hi mate, ive only been keeping fish about six months but there is catfish pellets that can be bought most places. My catfish go straight for these

Most catfish/pleco's/corydora's are better at night time. So you may want to consider feeding them soon after you turn the lights off for the night, or whenever you turn them off. Also try feeding some shrimp pellets as these often get their taste buds going!!

Would it be worth me feeding them on a timer so the food drops in the tank an hour after the lights go out ?

I agree on the shrimp pellets. Mine love them!

I used to have this problem (especially since my cories are apparently too distracted to notice when food is put in the tank)...what I started doing was breaking the little sinking tablets into small pieces. This way even if the other fish nibble on some of the pieces, the cories still find some pieces of their own.

Thats fine but the corys wont come out till dark.
