Cat Nap

Circe decided to nap in the cat bed under my desk today, which is unusual for her... normally Gypsy the chihuahua sleeps there, and takes up less of the bed!

She's named after the witch in The Odyssey who turned Odysseus's men into pigs, but she and the Dread goddess are basically one and the same, I believe?

Circe came out and welcomed them inside. All but Eurylochus accepted the invitation. He had a premonition. And sure enough, after she had given them food and honeyed wine mixed with a pinch of something, she waved her wand and turned them into swine.

yup they are indeed
Circe, or more correctly kirke (no c in greek) from the Oddessy, is known by many titles
including the goddess of dread, the goddess of witchcraft, spells and black magic, the hexer, the old witch etc.

I hope she gets another nomination

It's a good name for her, let me tell you... she's quite the irritable witch, haha!
Doesn't like anyone but me, and this includes our other pets as well. She HATES my dad's cat, Jinx... but then again, everyone hates Jinx
