Cat Fish With Cichlids

Its not that bad its just starting to show signs of green on a few of the top rocks...i only leave light on from 5 in eveing till 10 when we are home..as they dont need much light.

If you really want to stop the algea from spreading and growing do these things:
1-cut the amount of light.
2- feed your fish less than often.
Hope i helped...... I'm also a cichlid lover and I do have a Malawi tank, but I didn't have problems with algea for quit some time now!!

Yes that is what i have done, its not bad in there but i just did not want it taking over.
