Carpeting Plants With Corydoras

My gut feeling is that corys would prefer not to have carpeting plants, but i'd like to hear other opinions / experiences please?

my corydoras love to rummage inbetween my E. tennelus and lilaeopsis mauritiana they enjoy resting on the leaves and underneath the bigger E. tennelus specimens too.

Hav a look at jimbooo's journal, he had riccia fluitans & glosso with sterbai cory's, he also kept a common pleco.
