I hope he does better when he gets here than Mark Gonzales did, who simply hasn't been good enough. He only had one season though and that may well not have been enough, even Roll Over Ronaldo needed 3 seasons to become a great player.

Benitez seems to be buying or linked to buying a lot of young Arentinian and Brazilian players, so in 5 years time we could be seeing decent football at Anfield too rather than the dull stuff we've been playing recently (most finals excepted )

So in todays press Tevez could be going to the mancs for £40m (of not to Chelski, Liverpool, Barca, Inter, Juve etc etc ), I assume this means they will buy him out of his contract with MSI cos you wouldn't want to pay that kind of money and still not own the player

It also makes me wonder about Mascherano I heard Liverpool had paid £12m for him and I do hope the same, that he is now outright a Liverpool player who we could sell if needed.

Anyone know?

but the daily mail said not long ago that liverpool bought mascherano outright from msi for about 10mil, but wether or not u trust that is up 2 u

i also see barcelona r close 2 closing a deal for rodrigo palacio as i said he would come 2 europe somewhere in this thread

The rumours i've been hearing is we've paid for around 75% of him and still have a payment to make in 12 months time, that was in the Liverpool Echo.

I'm a bit disheartened with the club at the moment. We were all told of the huge investment in players come the summer but nothing as yet has materialised. I know we've tied down Sissoko, Alonso, Carra, Stevie G and Reina which is great news but we do desperatly need more quality. I'm hoping their just waiting for the Spanish League to finish before doing anything, assuming that where most of our business will take place.

liverpool have a transfer plan where they usually only buy young players, and often from brazil or argentina, so im looking forward to a lot of young talent from that club

I have no idea to be honest. One minute we are going to buy the best talents in the world and compete in the same markets as ManUre and Chelski, Barca and Real, the next minute there doesn't appear to be the funds available to go for the big established names

dont worry your linked with the mighty Yossi Benayoun - that should turn your team around .
I still think you'll spend a few quid on a quality striker cos lets face it your strike force is nearly as bad as ours (ManU). We must be the two most desperate teams to sign strikers which pushes prices up for both of us .
I dont think we'll spend big on a striker so that rules out Tevez , Eto'o , Villa , Huuntelar - money is on the likes of Owen , Anelka , Guudjohnsen and anyone else we can get as a freebie,swap or below 10 million
Liverpool need a quality striker to partner Kuyt and you'll break into the Chelsea/Man U league then

I still believe we need a top class left back, a top class wideman and atleast one top class striker. The thing is to get all that we'd probably have to spend in the region of £70m, maybe more, and I just can't see us doing that.

As for Man U I think they may well end up getting Eidur Guudjonson, a player I thought should never have left the Premiership.

lol benayoun is such a poor player with all there money they should be getting the big stars like villa.
i think dani alves was ment 2 be coming 2 england aswell but not sure 4 which club, he is a quality player.
as i always say they wana look 2 south america, just thought i would mention another player called falcao.
im looking forward 2 seeing palacio in europe next season, now people he is an amazing player i dont like 2 build peoples hopes up but he is AMAZING
