Capital Letters

I try my grammer to improve so understandable it is around forum the...

2-As a soon-to-be English teacher (and aspiring novelist), one of my biggest pet peeves is the mixing up of the various forms of to/too/two, their/there/they're, your/you're, and similar words (sorry, it's late and my brain has already gone to bed). I can understand it to an extent if you are a non-native English-speaker. However, in most cases that I've seen it is people who are native English-speakers who have the biggest problems with these words.

This annoys me too! Seriously an odd mistake can happen (guilty myself) but come on.....learn it!

oooch, i hate bad grammar.
i get annoyed sometimes, the keys on my keyboard stick, so sometimes i miss letters out.
when i post and see i've written by instead of buy, i get soooo annoyed. because i know my grammar and hate people thinking i dont LOL

As for spelling i only sort of agree. true, computers give us a great tool called spell check, but some people are not computer savvy, very young, or in a hurry so cant go thru and fix typos. on the other hand, I find it really annoying when it is misspelled on purpose(like in lol catz). I dont think its cute. its ridiculous.
just my thoughts.
Cheers

Totally agree with that, i think its tacky!

Why do you not capitalise your I's then? Or start a sentence with a capitol letter? LOL, I just found it a bit ironic!

I can't deal very well with adults who should have better grammar, spelling, and/or punctuation, but apparently either didn't pay attention in school or choose not to use their brains.

Goodness me, you are about to become an English Teacher and you hold this opinion. I do hope that you will learn from experience that not all adults/children are capable of the high standard of grammar, spelling and/or punctuation you hold so dear! I wonder if you have considered the impact on self esteem/self worth that your comment may have had on people with a learning difficulty.

I must admit, I do not like capitalisation of full sentences, it does hark back to the SHOUTING connotation, but I would never dream of making a deprecating comment.

Thank goodness we are all individuals, with strengths and weaknesses, how boring it would be if everyone was perfect!
