I just can’t seem to get my water clean, it always seems to be milky/cloudy....

I do a 20% water changer every week, I have 10 Livebearers(3 Guppys, 5 Platys, 3 Swordtails and 1 molly) in the tank its 100L, its lit for 10 hours a day.

I have added 2 live plants today to try to sort out the problem, will that do anything?

What do you feed your fish? I found that that when i fed flake food the water would turn cloudy, now i no longer use flakes i dont get the cloudy water anymore.

Aquarian Tropical Fish Food, it s flakes but I'v never had trouble before with them?!

What's your filtration?

Also, your feeding habits per how much/how often and do you leave the food sitting on the bottom?

How do you clean your gravel? I would suggest every day to clean the gravel after your last feeding for the day. Don't go into the gravel but slowly go over the top to get waste and leftover food. It shouldn't take more than a minute and a couple gallons of water.

If the water clears up after a few days then you know it was the food. If not, I would think it might be a filtration issue.

Either way, it helps narrow it down and changing a couple gallons a day does no harm.

Cat fish Crazy,
What else can you feed really small fish like guppies and mollies? I tried small pellets and they will not eat them. They just sink to the bottom. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't like the flakes it is hard to tell how much you are putting in.
Thanks
