I remember there being a "dream tanks" thread on here. Somebody posted a link to a site about the set-up of a big reef tank where all the LR was supported on poles of some sort to make towers. I really liked the look of it and would like to maybe do something similar in my new tank.

Does anyone have the link or know the tank I mean?

I have done a tank along the same principle, using Eggcrate(reefrack) under my LR & a Tuunze Stream feeding a Durso

Also Si's own Site reef eden is a fantastic site for DIY

Erm....no....

All I can remember is there was a topic about dream tanks and somebody posted saying look at this, it's the best aquascaping I've ever seen.

On the site there was a journal of how it was set up including pics of the person drilling the LR to fit onto posts so it would make stable towers.

I would really like to try it and want to read through the site again

Thanks Matthew, it's not the tank I have in mind but it does show what I mean about drilling the rocks. It is interesting to see he used acrylic poles. I think this is what I may do. I was wondering how people stopped the rocks toppling over.
