Can't find a Home For babies!!!

Now that's a personal opinion and IMO they should becuase it teaches them a lot about love, responsability and the life cycle. I pity your children, if you have or ever have any

Actually, my children would be allowed to have pets but not while they were primary school age. I would have a dog but I certainly would not give them a hamster, seeing as I have many times seen children with pets who then get bored and their parents have to look after them (the pets). Hamsters are not suitable pets for young children, and I would not be so stupid as to give one to my children. I'm sorry that I'm not allowed an opinion on this forum, or if I give it I get slated. God, no wonder people hate the British.

i seen how my neighbors kids treated their rodents....i feel sorry for the things. if i ever get my kids a rodent, it will not be something so easily hurt like a gerbil or hamster....maybe something bigger like what i think is called a "netherland" rabbit or something? a really big breed of some sort...i would say guine pigs, but they bite HARD if frightened a little....i know....i got a dang scar from my friendliest pig. lol. (no one else considered him friendly, but he was nice to me)

maybe i'll jus stick to dogs

or maybe since i'm 16 i won't even think about it at all

 Why not, I'm 18 and I've got a guinea pig. I did a First Diploma in Animal Care, so good luck bigfish and have fun.

steppy104 - How's Sadie getting on? I mihgt have missed an update but I'm wondering how she is.

Bigfish,
I'd love 2 or 3. But I think my parents would only let me have them if the P and P was cheap so thats probably a no no... My parents would never drive me to cardiff, what is the price of the postage and packaging, if its more than £1.50 each theres no point I could just go to petworld....

sadie is still limping....but carrying on like nothing is wrong. she's bein a trooper. lol. i'm just kinda scared though, that my dad will try to take her to put her down one day, without anyone noticing. everytime i'm gone for a while, i make sure sadies there to greet me....if she's not, then i go on a rampage lookin for her. lol. i'm still ticked at my parents for trying that 6 years ago with my cat.....they took her away while i was out, and took me to go get a new pet all of a sudden....the whole story is in that post "dealing with putting to sleep" or something like that....

anyway, back on topic

guinne pigs are soo sweet :D i want some more....but my parents said "no more of them stinkin things!" like it's their fault they crap and it stinks. lol. my totsie had a personality to him....hated being alone....left him in yard once, and walked away to see what he would do, and he started crying and looking around...then sadie walked by and he started to follow her!

i think guinne pigs would be more of a hardy pet for little kids.....if you have the kind of kid thats rough with animals, threaten them by saying "he's gonna bite you good if you don't be nice to him! i got bit by one once...see? *point to serious looking scar*"

i know some kids can be real mean....my bf's sister has a new kitten, and her son is so mean to it....i was over there, holding the cat, and he took it and tried to put it in a collapsed cardboard box, and tried to lay on it. he woulda squished the poor thing if the cat didn't resist being put in there! also while i was holding the cat, he was mad because he had to go to bed, and took the cats back leg and pulled it. luckily he didn't hurt him...and he was trying to play with the kitten, and it bit him (playing around of course), and he's like "NO! YOU DON'T BITE ME!" and made like he was punching it....luckily he's too little to do much harm...he didn't hit the cat hard, but he was aiming for it's face. and from what i heard, he takes the cat and throws it against the wall. i told my bf "your sis should teach him not to do that or something....thats just wrong"

i feel bad for the poor thing....so cuddly and everything....having to live with a kid that doesn't know how to treat it. :/

Oh, the poor puddy tat!

That why kids shouldn't have pets. My cousin used to take hold of her cat when she was younger, and swing it around by its tail. Me and my sisters would all be like, you *****! you don't treat pooor kelly that way!

Poor cat!

I'm glad Sadie's getting better, and I would never speak to my parents again if they did that to me! Well, with a nice animal like a cat or dog anyway!.

I found a home for them at last but they won't take them until 9 weeks old. This will come in quite handy as i discovered some new arrivals!!!!!!!!!!! arhhhhhhhhhhhh
