Canned Peas?

Another newbie question for ya!!


I see it mentioned everywhere to give your fish a little bit of a pea every once in a while from a frozen bag. Thaw it out, take skin off, etc etc...

Would canned peas work as well?
Are frozen peas suggested just b/c they will last longer than canned (b/c you can just take one out while leaving the rest frozen)?

Frozen are a lot better. Canned peas are often seasoned, at least with salt, and are more likely to have preservatives added. Also, canned peas are more prone to going "off" and getting bacterial growth in them, or picking up metals from the can.
