Canister Filter New Adventure

Kind of what I was hoping for, but of course the outlet is way up there and the sand is way down there. Should I actually aim it from the top toward the bottom?

I know I'm sounding really dense, but I just don't have ANY experience with anything but HOBs! Gah.

You're not sounding dense! Just sort of angle it down so the flow travels over the sand and on to the other end.

Some of my fish really like the strong current. But I found my assassin snails bunched up behind a piece of driftwood, so I moved them to another tank. I know the cories live in rivers naturally, so it shouldn't bother them. The tiger barbs don't seem entirely sure! I might add the extension to the flow tube and see if I can get it low enough to help with the poo.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my canister filter (marienland 55 gal). It was the best thing i ever bought for my aquarium that wasnt an actual fish.

I'm loving mine too! I'm still going to leave the other HOB running for a few weeks to make sure everything is where it should be. But what I love the most is the Q-U-I-E-T. It just hums along. If I could have gotten it underneath the desk I'll bet I'd hardly be able to hear it.
