Canistar Filter What Is The Best?

Hi, I have a rena xp3 in my 55g and it works great. I have a new 55g on its way, what filter should I get? I have heard that the Enheim are better but why?

Also, I need a new filter NOW because my power went out today and I came home to a burnt out aquaclear filter; I have two aquaclears and both of them were not working after the power outage, is this common to aquaclear filters? I have one penguin (marineland) mini and it was able to start up after the power outage...

Researched this heavily before buying my Rena

eheim's are better by every review I have read. According to nearly all stronger manufacture, to most a bit quieter, and also mentioned in a few longer lived. There were also some questions in some reviews about Rena's quality control being a bit hit and miss sometimes.

I personally own a Rena and would probably not by an eheim anytime soon. This is not because I think Rena's are better filters, but rather that I don't think eheims are worth 2.5-3 times the price.
