Oh goodness :-( So so sorry to hear l.michelle

You really did everything you could for her :byebye: :rip:

I am so sorry. Words can’t describe how you must be feeling.
I got two little one’s. One is 10 month and Eboney is 15 weeks old. When I took her for her first injection the vet told me that she had a slight heart murmur. I thought my world would end, so I can’t even imagine how you must be feeling. At least she had someone who loved and cared for her.

Im crying as I read this thread. How awfull for you. I can imagine the pain that you are in.My dogs are my babies I cant imagine life without them. So sad in such a young dog. My thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

I just read your post. I'm sorry for your loss. It's always sad to lose a pet but it is especially heart breaking to lose a young pet. God Bless.

The lump they removed from her leg was cancerous, it was cancer in the lymphnodes. That would have got her if the disease we still don't know what it is didn't get her first.

Thank you all again for your kind replies. You don't understand how much I apreciate them. It is nice that there are people who really care, you are all a very amazing group of people. thank you

We have finally heard from the vet, they did the autopsy, and found it was a galloping cancer. That's why it didn't show up in the MRI and whatnot. She didn't stand a chance. They said if we had prolonged it, she would have died painfully. I suppose at least it gives a small bit of closure.

i'm so sorry for your loss :-(

Did the vet say if this kind of cancer has a hereditary nature? a lot of the tendency towards some cancers is inherited and this makes me even more concerned about what you said in the other thread about the breeder continuing this line. i know it doesn't help you now either way, but it's terribly sad for any puppies she continues to breed irresponsibly.

I am so sorry,I had not caught up on this thread when i replied on the other one

I cant even begin to imagine how you and your family are feeling right now

it feels very bad. and it is truly something we haven't expected at all. a pure shock, but i thik we are getting on not too bad. Thank you all for your replies, it means a lot to me. I think one day we will get another pup or dog, but i don't think it will be for a while. We have a letter in the mailbox from the vet clinic, I know it is a sympathy card, we received one when Goliath passed, but I can't take it out and certainly can't find the strength to give it to my mother. I think I will have to tell my father to get it for her. I just can't bear it.

I hope people don't mind if i stick around this section of the forum. even though i haven't really got any household pets. The people here are just very nice.

Not one bit and don't even feel the need to ask if we mind. :) Part of the healing process is being in a place where you feel comfortable. If this is the place, then feel free. You still can certainly make wonderful contributions to this section. I often go to the Marine section or Coldwater, even though I don't currently keep any of those setups, but it's nice to visit other places.

I sincerely hope you feel better. Lola will be missed. :flowers:

llj :)

The hospital she died in has sent us a package with her collar and a clay plaque with her paw print and her name written under it, and a nice card. I will take a photo of it later. It is nice that they did that but I am a little bleh feeling about it. I guess i have never seen a place do this before. seems nice of them.

Oh, what a wonderfull thing to do. You will treasure it. It's so nice for them to take the time to do it.

I managed to bring in the envelope from the mailbox today, along with a sympathy card was another card that said the vet clinic she was registered at and went to is making a donation in her name to the vet hospital she was at. i think that is a very nice gesture.
