Pics do not do this tank justice. This sits in a solid wooden cabinet, with 2 draws and 2 cupboards, loads of storage space. Holes have been cut in the back for pipework for an external filter and the generous space means you can get quite a large filter in. The tank and cabinet split into 3 sections, the lid (which takes 2 people to lift it) the tank then the base. I cannot express how heavy this thing is empty, my hubby & his brother did a lot of grunting getting it into the house. I have had this tank running 2 years without any problems, its built to last. It would benefit from being sanded and re-varnished, but I liked the "distressed" look. Its hard to discribe and the pics are not great, best view it really.
There is some damage under the lid due to condensation
and one corner at the very bottom of the cabinet has been rounded off, where I had it in the front room it was just ankle hight and with the kids being little we took the sharp edge off.
The over all length of the cabinet is approx 46" x 16" x 54" overall hight including lid. Sizes are approx because hubby has locked the tape measure in the shed and I have used a rule
Comes with a light, can throw in one of my spare heaters but would recommend testing it first, also Eheim 2217 external filter, with media and pipework, but needs spray bar (if required) and intake strainer. Had new seal and was used for 3 weeks.
