Hi All

I was sold from a display tank from my local garden centre, and they didn't know what he was. He is black/dark grey all over with a bright orange tail. He looks a bit like a shark but has little wiskers on his nose. He is a lovely fish but would love to know what he is, please help if you can !!

(ps sorry if this is in the wrong place this is my first post)
:D

Red Tailed Black Shark is my guess.

Yay thats him !

What sort of fish should i avoid with him ?? am new to this and all my fish shops dont seem to know or care what i put in my tank aslong as i buy the fish from them

should i remove him as i have silver sharks and a betta ?? he gets on well with them though, no fighting or problems and he's been in there a week now??

I know i shouldn't have the fish i do, but they all get on really well, have had no problems with any of them. The fish shop didn't tell us, and i didn't know what you could and couldn't put together. please don't be nasty about the choice of fish, we honestly didn't know.

Any advice ?? should i split them ?? all the other fish apart from the above one have been in there over 2 months now with no problems.

Thanks

We have a male betta and 2 female
1 large Angel
1 smaller angel
Placo
Cory
2 silver sharks
1 small like cory but looks like a placo (dont know name)
4 black neon tetras
2 yellow mollys
2yellow/2 orange guppys and some others which i can't explain but can find out if you need to !!

what size tank is it?
the guppys will definitly not last with the red tail shark

Up until a month ago my RTBS was a perfect community fish then...he became a monster  First he chased angels so I moved him. Then he tryed to rule the roost with the clown loaches..they suddenly started hiding but when I removed him all went back to normal.

When I got him the LFT said he was a great community fish :/ He is georgious but now in a tank with just bristlenoses so if anyone can put up with his bad behaviour then I would let him go.

RTBS can be quite aggressive when they are mature.

:hi: to the forums Lovemyfishys.

TANK IS 2X2X1 FT

I love all my fish, and it was the angel that picked on him when i first put him in, but that calmed down after an hour. Am worried now that they are all going to turn on each other and have a massive fight !

Anyone selling a large tank in london area btw ?? need one for my next project.
