There are many different opinions, and i don't know which one is the best
People have said shrimp are food for discus, but the bamboo shrimp is pretty big.
But i don't want to risk the shrimp :(
So can they be kept together or not?

My Kribensis pair ate my 4" Bamboo shrimp a few years ago, and Kribs are a lot smaller than Discus.

I don't know much about shrimp. But what are the shrimps needs? Do they need good watr flow what temps are they happy in. They might not be a good match because discuss and shrimp have differant needs.

Shrimp are tasty .

They'll be fine with African armoured shrimp, I kept them together before.

Shrimp need calcium to malt and regrow their shell, soft, acidic water doesn't contain much compared to hard, alkaline water. I guess this could be a problem.

You can have discus in hard water if they're bred in it so providing yours aren't in really sift water I'm sure they'd be ok, plus was thinking I doubt a discus would bother with a bamboo as they're not a lot smaller than armoured.

My discus are kept in reconditioned tap water
If i was to get any i wouldn't be getting them now, i want to make sure the tank is set up properly :)

Reconditioned? I think you mentioned in another thread your fish are not in soft water? So when ever you get them I'm sure they'll be fine.
