Can you keep Puffers & Crabs together?

 Puffers are the coolest fish.... they look so innocent, but they're really not. :alien:

I really want one, but.... i don't have the proper accommodations at the moment.

Wow.....not a fighting chance for that crab...how much do you pay per crab? Just wondering because im sure its expen$ive to feed such gourmet meals :)

I wonder how many people don't eat as well as that puffer.

She looked mighty happy to have crab dinner. ;)

She is amazing. I didn't realise how big they get until I saw one in a FS a few weeks ago. Excellent!!! :D

Brilliant stuff :D

They have a fahaka Puffer in my LFS that somene has brought in. Its about a foot long and really serene.. Doesn't seem to actively "swim" but almost hovers from one spot in the tank to another... If only I had a spare 60G tank lol.

Great video!!! I loved it.

I got a question.....aren't puffers salt water? that looked like a freshwater tank (because of the plants).

I go snorkeling almost every weekend, and there are many puffers around here, in salt water. A couple weeks ago I was watching one that was almost 2' long, but never got to see one eat, that video was kewl.

WOW! Great video. You both always come up with such good videos and pictures of your fish Sir and Lady M. keep up the good work, it isn't going unappreciated! :)
btw, how big is Martha now?

No, lots are, but there is also many that aren't. Some are brackish though.

Some completely freshwater species are:

Fahaka Puffer
Red Eye Puffer (I'm not quite sure about this one)
South American Puffer (also has lots of other names)
Mbu
Dwarf Puffer
And many more

Some brackish water species:

Green Spotted Puffer
Figure 8 Puffer
+More

Some Saltwater:

Porcupine
(and I think this species exists) King Puffer?
And loads more!

HTH!

Have I seen that one before, I couldn't be bothered to click! Good film if it is!

:fun:

Also, BryanG, snorkelling around where you are sounds really fun!
