my brother gave me it because it was given to him and his cichlids were gonna just kill him. it looks sorta like a clown bard to me but i don't think it is and i wanna know so i can find out if it needs a school or not.
if anyone knows what it is please tell me, i can do the rest of the research my self. thank you.

it was too big to post so i'll do the link, it's the one in the direct middle with the black tiger stripe looking thing.
i know the other one is an Australian rainbow.

that fish is a long finned barb or Puntius tambraparniei. they arent often available at lfs and should be kept in as bigger group as possible like most barbs. it will reach about 4-4.5 inches in length and prefers faster flowing water. i have a group of 8 in one of my tanks, beautifull fish :good:

yeah i thought it would be a schooling fish. do you know how much they cost normally?
i'm expecting more considering i've never seen one before

They need cool water too- 23C ideally
Looking at your current stock, I'd sort it out before adding more fish-you are already overstocked

they arent the cheapest of barbs, mine were labelled up at about £8 each if i remember right but got a good deal on a group of 8.

mine are fine at 26oC and are currently living with Keith my oscar without any issues.
