i like having the java moss in the tank i feel like whenever they feel safe, they can hide behind it and its just a really cool moss. and i sell some of it to lfs.

I don't know what getting to 50 - 75% means, in this context.

Photo of the tank, please? :)

Mosses don't usually grow dense and long enough to clog up the tank and be "too much", and the fish sure appreciate plants. But it's also fine to trim it back to the way you want it! That's aquascaping. :)

all my java moss is coexisting and entangled with hair algae lol
you can press the sheet of moss down and put rocks on it or plant stuff in it, if you are trying to do a moss carpet!
it seems less messy that way lol

There you go

No , that is not too much. Java Moss is very light and filamentous (is that a word?) . The fish will swim right through it and it will make them feel secure. If it gets to be too much in your mind that's personal preference but the fish do not share your preferences. Watch the fish. They will tell you.

Thanks folks i must have the Balance right , Those Velvet Blue shrimp just keep breeding non stop lol

Nice! Blue dream and blue velvets are my favourites, but I don't really have them at the moment. Want to get a tank with just some blues at some point.
