Can U Settle This Argument

Looks purple to me, but personally i don't like the shade of purple (sorry!), IMHO it makes the car look too girly.

I would say its definately pink, and my 4 year old is now pestering her dad to get his van painted that colour

It is Heliotrope. I had a color pencil once that exact color.

Check out this link. The shade on display is pretty darn close and it is described as a purple-pink.

The color, however, is never going to look the same to people. Humans have varying degrees of color vision. Some can see colors in far more detail and can even extract colors from complex shades. They see blood red, vermillion, carmine red, scarlet, orange-red, purple-red, etc. Others see just one shade. Red is red. Supposedly, and these are just useless bits of information, women have superior color vision to men. They needed it as they were the gatherers in early societies. Needed to be able to tell if a berry is ripe or poisonous. Isn't it ironic, however, that most of the major visual artists (speaking of painters mostly) throughout history have been men? Women have been repressed throughout most of history, though, so that comment is not entirely fair. Birds have some of the best color vision in the animal kingdom, if not the best.

Enough useless information!

That is some color, though, whatever it is. Not my cup of tea, but it's not my car. Kudos to hubby for painting it for you. A nice present.

Its very much purple.
