I've just set op a rocky malawi 66 gallons aquarium.
After a long search and selection if come up with a list of cichlids which I like. But I´m not sure if they can live within the same aquarium.

1) I would like to know which of these that can- and can't be combined?

2) If these something else about any of these i should be aware off?

3) Recomandations, maybe a cichlide which you find very special and interesting, that isn't on the list..

Thanks from tinghoej

• Labeotropheus fuelleborni (Thumbi West)
• Labidochromis sp. Hongi (Hongi Island)
• Labeotropheus fuelleborni (Katale Island-blå/gul)
• Cynotilapia Afra (Cóbué)
• Metriaclima Zebra (Red dorsal) (Mphanga)
• Metriaclima sp. msobo (Magunga)
• Pseudotropheus greshakei (Makokola Reef)
• Metriaclima Callainos (Blue Cobalt Cichlid)

i dont kno enough to answer your question but i was jus wondering if you made that list from the net of from your LFS?

its best to see what you can get and choose from that you see. theres hundreds as youve probably seen and some wont be available.

if youve done that or got a better plan then i apologise! :)

That actually looks like a very good combination, all compatible and no overly aggressive species, should work well.

Are you planning on keeping single specimins of each or groups?

I'm planning to keep groups of 5, I'm not planning on having a group of each kind since my aquarium should only be good for ~30, 8-12cm cichlids.

I'll probably pick 5 or 6 of these. Unless some of these works great with just 1-3 individuals of the kind?

And i do know that my LFS has, or will get all of these as F1+ in the nearby future :)

There is a distinct possibility that the Fulleborni will cross breed with each if you add females to. If you want both stick to male only or just the one species if adding females.
