Rams do not get pregnant. The female lays eggs and the male then fertilises them. The male and female have to be together in the same tank. Other fish in the tank may eat the eggs and the rams themselves may eat the first few batches, but they do eventually get the hang of it and leave the eggs to hatch.

I find it difficult to tell males from females with the electric blue variety of rams so I'll have to leave that aspect for someone else.

ok thank you for your help ,

just need to know whose male and female lol
Are all the pictures of the same fish ? What size are they ?
I would lean towards female as I can’t see any signs of male with the fins of body but if they are not fully grown a male could look like a female

hi i have 4 blue rams size 6 cm ,these are not fully grown as i d been told by shop.

Hello :)
Could you please give some details :
- can you spot some black spine(s) at the front of the dorsal fin ?
- any ram that has longer dorsal fin than others ?
- Any ram showing a pinkish patch level with pectoral fins ?
- Same ram always pursuing others ?

these are the two that stick together one of them got longer black dorsal than the other fish has ,

So.... it might be 3 males (1 mature, 2 immatures) and 1 female (any pinkish patch) ?
The 2 that have "bonded" would be 1 mature male and the supposed female.

If - here I emphasize if - I'm right saying : 1 mature male, 2 immature males or dominated matures, 1 mature female, you'll have to monitor the 2 immature/fominated as you could encounter squabbles/fights between the 3 males.
Who sold you these rams ?
